There is something beautiful about a wedding that doesn't need to be large to be significant. Perhaps you have never imagined a ballroom filled with hundreds of people, or perhaps you have simply realized that the kind of wedding you want is less about creating an impressive event and more about creating a meaningful beginning to your marriage. You want to be surrounded by the people who know you best and love you deeply - the people who have prayed for you, walked alongside you through difficult seasons, celebrate the good ones, and will still be there decades from when you look back on the beginning of your life together.
An intimate wedding gives you room for all of that. It gives you the freedom to actually see the people who came to celebrate you, to linger over dinner, to have meaningful conversations, to pray together, to laugh without watching the clock, and to be fully present with the person you are marrying. Rather than spending your wedding day moving from one scheduled moment to the next, there is room to experience it - to notice the way your parents look at you, to hear your grandmother's laugh, to embrace the friend who has known you since childhood, and to step away together when you need a quiet moment to remember why you are here in the first place.
At the center of all of it is the covenant you are making before God. Your wedding is not simply a beautiful day or a celebration that exists for it's own sake; it is the beginning of marriage and a promise to walk through an entire life together with faith, grace, sacrifice, joy, and God at the center. That is the story I want to preserve - not simply how your wedding looked, but what it felt like to stand in that place, surrounded by the people you love, and begin this life together.
Documentary does not have to mean careless or unrefined. There is an art to creating something that feels completely natural while still being beautifully produced, and I approach each wedding as a complete body of work rather than simply a collection of individual photographs.
As a filmmaker, cinematographer, editor, producer, and storyteller, I consider the light, environment, sound, movement, pacing, and emotion as pieces of one story. Thoughtful production allows the real moments to become even more powerful.
My goal is never to make your life look manufactured. It is to honor what is already there. I want to quietly shape an environment where real moments can unfold naturally, while using the experience and artistry of filmmaking to preserve those moments with depth, beauty, and intention.
You do not need to know how to pose, perform for the camera, or recreate moments. My approach is rooted in observation, trust, an understanding of when to step forward and when to disappear. I want you to feel comfortable enough to stop thinking about the camera and start experiencing the people and the person in front of you.
Because the moments that matter most are rarely the ones we could have planned perfectly. They happen in the spaces between everything else - the hand squeeze beneath the table, the deep breath before the vows, the laugh that breaks the tension, the prayer whispered when no one else can hear, or the way you look at each other when you think nobody is watching.
Those are the moments I am looking for because those are the moments that tell the truth about your relationship.
From our first conversation, I want to understand more than your wedding date and venue. I want to know what brought you here, who you are as a couple, what matters to you, which relationships have shaped your lives, what traditions you want to keep, which ones have never felt like yours, and what you hope your children and grandchildren will someday know about the beginning of your marriage.
Those conversations shape the way I approach your wedding. You will experience a guided and intentional process from beginning to end, with thoughtful planning, communication, and care throughout the experience. I want you to feel that every detail has been considered while still leaving room for the day to unfold naturally, because your wedding should not feel like something you have to manage from beginning to end.
You are not simply hiring someone to document a few hours. You are inviting someone into an incredibly meaningful chapter of your life and trusting them with memories that will eventually belong to generations you may never meet. That trust matters to me, and I treat it with the care it deserves.
Your wedding does not need to look like anyone else's. Maybe your perfect day is an intimate dinner at a beautiful estate, a ceremony in a historic chapel followed by champagne and dinner with your closest people, or a celebration in your own backyard beneath the trees. Maybe it is elegant and refined, or maybe it is simple and deeply personal. Maybe you have dreamed of a particular place for years, or maybe the most meaningful location is somewhere that already holds a piece of your history.
What matters is that it feels like you.
I want to help create space for the moments that matter rather than filling the day simply because a wedding timeline says they should be there. Your celebration can have beauty without losing it's intimacy, and it can be refined without feeling rehearsed. You can create an experience that feels intentional and elevated while still leaving room for the people you love, the relationship you share, and the unexpected moments that make the day uniquely yours.
Presence over Performance
The most meaningful photographs happen when you are fully present with one another and the people you love.
Relationships over Spectacle
The people surrounding you are not background characters. They are part of your story, and their presence, their history with you, and the way they love you deserve to be remembered. A small wedding allows those relationships to become a part of the experience rather than getting lost in the scale of celebration.
Covenant over Ceremony
A wedding ceremony lasts for a moment, but a marriage is built over a lifetime. I want your photographs and film to honor the deeper story - the covenant you are making before God and the life you are beginning together. the wedding is the beginning of the story, not the whole story.
Stewardship and Gratitude
Being invited into someone's wedding is an extraordinary responsibility. I approach that trust with care, reverence, and gratitude, knowing that I am documenting memories that may eventually be entrusted to generations I will never meet. Every photography, every frame of film, and every finished piece of artwork is created with that responsibility in mind.
Joy is the Inheritance
Your family history will not be made only in the extraordinary moments. It will be made in the ordinary days that follow - the meals, the prayers, the children, the celebrations, the hard seasons, the laughter, and the quiet evenings at home. Your wedding is simply the beginning, and I want your photographs and film to remind you of the joy that brought you here and the faithfulness of God that carries you forward.
One day, this wedding will become a story you tell. You will remember the people who gathered around you, the prayers that were spoken, the meal you shared, the way the room felt, the laughter that filled the evening, and the way you looked at one another before you became husband and wife. Some of the details will become softer with time, as memories naturally do, but the story itself will continue to become more meaningful as the years pass.
Perhaps one day your children will ask what your wedding day was like. You will open the album and see the people who loved you. You will press play on the film and hear the voices of the people who gathered around you. You will see yourselves as you were at the beginning and remember the covenant you made before God when you began this life together.
And for a moment, you will be there again - not simply remembering what happened, but remembering who you were, who loved you, what you believed, and the love that brought you to that day.
Because your wedding is not the end of a story.
